New Jersey offers 9 days of in-person early voting and no-excuse mail-in voting to all registered voters. Registration closes 21 days before Election Day.

Early voting
9 days of in-person early voting from the Saturday 10 days before Election Day through the Sunday before.
Absentee / mail-in
Mail-in request must be received by 7 days before Election Day. Ballot must be postmarked by Election Day and received by 6 days after.
ID requirements
Generally no ID required at the polls. First-time voters who registered by mail without verified ID may need to show ID.
Election Day hours
Polls open 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time. If you are in line at 8:00 PM, you can vote.
