HOW TO

Vote!

If you're voting in New London, check this website to find your poll location. If you want to vote in your home state you must make a plan to get there, or request an absentee ballot so you can cast your ballot by mail.

Use this poll locator to find your poll site.

Vote Absentee

If you are voting in your home state, but cannot go to the polls in your home state, you must request an absentee ballot.

HOW TO

This is a two step process— requesting your ballot, and returning it, both of which you must do by your state's due date.

When your request is approved, your election official will mail you a ballot.

Once received, fill it out and mail it back in to your local election official. We suggest doing so 2 weeks in advance of your due date.

Click the envelope to request your ballot with Turbo Vote.

FAQs

Can I vote if I'm studying abroad?
Yes! You need a Federal Post Card Application. Election officials will confirm your eligibility, and add you to a list to receive absentee ballots for elections held during the year.
When is my state's registration deadline?
It varies by state, but can be up to 30 days in advance. Deadlines mean your registration must be received by the said date, not postmarked.
Should I vote in my home state or in CT?
It's up to you. This site calculates and compares the value of your vote at home and at school so that you can make an informed decision.
When is my absentee ballot due?
It varies by state. Absentee ballot applications must be received by the deadline, not just postmarked by the deadline.
